We believe in the innate capacity of every child to succeed. This capacity is fostered through high academic and personal standards, respectful and orderly schools, competent and dedicated faculty and staff, involved and caring parents and administrative and management leadership creating a climate and culture of continuous improvement and a commitment to high and measurable standards of excellence.
What is a charter school?
A charter school is a publicly funded school created and managed by interested individuals or groups from the public or private sector. The schools are accountable to the local school board and/or the state, but they are free from the complex regulations that often constrain school success. Charter schools are:

Charter schools operate with relative autonomy, independent of most state and local regulations. In exchange for this freedom, charter schools are held accountable to state learning standards through rigorous academic testing and high expectations of their students.
How Are AQS Schools Different from Public Schools?
AQS Schools are college preparatory schools for children of all races, nationalities, and backgrounds. AQS schools accept children from all over the cities they serve—they are not neighborhood schools that only serve children in the surrounding area. CICS and Indiana schools managed by AQS are Core Knowledge schools that stress the Paideia approach and utilize the Junior Great Books program. The AQS schools develop and strengthen students’ ethical, moral, and civic values by offering classes in character education and units on citizenship and multi-cultural appreciation. In addition, AQS schools equip young men and women with the knowledge, skills, and social judgment needed to face the challenges of an increasingly complex global environment.
